Two Color Incalmo Bowls

Incalmo is a technique by which a glassmaker blows at least two separate bubbles of glass on different blowpipes and very carefully joins them together hot to achieve a clean distinct band of different colored or patterned glass. These bowls have been designed with luscious color combinations in such a way that one gets to best appreciate the clean optical lines of this challenging but valuable technique. Opaque colors show best on dark surfaces while transparents work best on light colored surfaces.
